The Louisiana Digital Library is a collaborative effort that ensures enduring access to materials that represent the history of our vibrant communities for the purposes of research, scholarship, and cultural enrichment.
Vision Statement
The Louisiana Digital Library aspires to be the premier repository for the state’s cultural institutions by leveraging innovative technologies, fostering partnerships, and embracing inclusivity. We aim to be a trusted and vibrant hub where knowledge thrives, stories unfold, and the essence of Louisiana’s past, present, and future is illuminated for all.

- Digital Preservation: We support and encourage members to engage in long-term digital preservation of materials that represent the heritage of our state so that our collections remain accessible using best practices, standards, and the continued adoption of emergent technology.
